The 2018 Ford F-150 Takes on the Competition at Jenkins Ford

There's no denying that the Ford F-150 makes for a popular choice among its segment. Now, having arrived to the 2018 model year, the new Ford F-150 makes for a more compelling choice than ever before. Driven by your choice of engine, and stocked to the brim with exclusive features, the 2018 Ford F-150 aims to please in far more ways than one. Don't just take our word for it though. To get the inside scoop on the redesigned F-150, along with how it compares when stacked up to the competition, we encourage you to read on below...

The 2018 Ford F-150 vs. The 2017 Ram 1500

  • At the heart and soul of the 2018 Ford F-150, you'll find an all-new 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine. Cranking out a full 290-horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque, this year's new F-150 will have you breezing by the 2017 Ram 1500 in no time.
  • Unlike the 2017 Ram 1500, this year's redesigned Ford F-150 comes standard with Auto Start-Stop Technology that can help to maximum fuel efficiency, while also reducing fuel consumption and vehicle emissions during city driving.
  • Available with a class-exclusive integrated tailgate step that allows you to easily climb in and out of the cargo box, the 2018 Ford F-150 doesn't make any compromises when it comes to convenient features. Unfortunately, the same can't be said of the Ram 1500.
  • The 2018 Ford F-150 vs. The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado

  • If you're looking for plenty of power under the hood, look no further than the Ford F-150. Available with a 450-horsepower high-output 3.5L EcoBoost engine, this year's F-150 doesn't make any compromises when it comes to what's under the hood. Unfortunately for Chevrolet shoppers, the Silverado engine options top out at 420-horsepower.
  • Opt for the Ford F-150, and you'll enjoy standard features such as Dynamic Hitch Assist. Designed to provide you with a visible sight line on the instrument panel display that helps you to direct your hitch ball to the trailer receiver, this standard feature makes towing an easy feat. Unfortunately for Chevrolet shoppers, no such feature is standard on this year's Silverado.
  • The 2018 F-150 is the first Ford vehicle to feature a premium B&O PLAY audio system. This system features 10-speakers, an AM/FM stereo, and a single-CD/MP3 player. Unfortunately, the Chevrolet Silverado isn't available with such a sound system.
