Jenkins Ford Buckhannon Flood Relief

Jenkins Ford in Buckhannon is continuing its flood relief drive to support individuals and families impacted by the recent flooding in Buckhannon, Weston, Upshur County, and surrounding communities.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers, local businesses, volunteers, and community members. Because of your support, we have been able to distribute cleaning supplies, bottled water, toiletries, hygiene products, baby supplies, and other essential items to people working to clean and recover after the flooding.

Our Most-Needed Items Have Been Updated

Since our last update, several people affected by the flooding have asked for additional outdoor and heavy-cleanup supplies, including shovels, tarps, heavy-duty work gloves, and DampRid.

Our team will be organizing donated items into boxes that can be distributed to individuals and families based on their needs. These kits may include:

Outdoor cleanup kits
Household cleaning and disinfecting kits
Basic personal hygiene kits
Baby-supply kits, when available

A basic hygiene kit will include a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a bar of soap. Additional items may be provided depending on the household’s size and individual needs.

All donated items will go directly to individuals and families affected by the flooding or will be used to assemble flood-relief kits for those in need.

Buckhannon Swim Club to Host 2026 NCWV Summer Swim League Championships

Nearly 400 swimmers will gather in Upshur County for the 2026 North Central West Virginia Summer Swim League Championships.

The two-day meet begins Friday, July 17, and continues Saturday, July 18, at Upshur County Recreational Park. The Buckhannon Swim Club Splashers will host the championships and compete alongside teams from across North Central West Virginia. Approximately 40 Buckhannon Splashers are expected to participate.

Jenkins Ford stopped by the pool to deliver our sponsorship banner and wish the team good luck. We are proud to support an organization that gives young athletes the opportunity to compete, build confidence and represent our local community.

We wish all the Buckhannon Splashers the best of luck at the championships. We will be cheering you on throughout the weekend!
